* After all, the ZA 5 ES uses the four-motor drive with direct drive and fully adjustable tape guides, which is also used in the 77ES and 2000ES, but only with 2-head technology. The drive (and this is what matters most in a DAT deck) is one of the finest ever built by Sony.
