Lafayette Radio Electronics Corporation was founded in 1921 in the USA and was known for various developments in the field of electronics. The Hi-Fi range included amplifiers, tuners, receivers, headphones and Criterion speaker cabinets. In the 70's Lafayette was represented in various countries in Europe. After a decline in the 80s, a relaunch was announced at CES in Chicago in 2003.
