* Das KX-9010 ist klanglich und vom Aufbau her ein Spitzenklassedeck und liegt auf dem Niveau von [[Sony TC-K 770 ES|Sony TC-K770]]/[[Sony TC-K 870 ES|870]] oder [[Nakamichi CR-4 E|Nakamichi CR-4]] oder [[Nakamichi LX-5|LX-5]]. Eigenaufnahmen sind aber von der einwandfreien Funktion der automatischen Bandeinmessung abhängig, und diese, bedingt durch sehr niederkapazitive und alterungsanfällige Elkos in dessen Schaltung, verliert manchmal an Präzision über die Jahrezehnte. Wer sich nicht scheut, selbst Hand anzulegen, bekommt nach einer Vollrevision des Gerätes klanglich ein absolutes Topclassdeck. Reines Opamprolling ist jedoch nicht der Bringer.

* Das Gerät hat keinen extra Bias- Steller. Die Einmessautomatik macht hier alle Einmessarbeit bei der Aufnahme. Das Ergebnis kann mit Hinterbandkontrolle mitgehört werden.
