Der Equalizer der Version II wurde überarbeitet: blaue Membranen - teilweise 3-fach mit dem BOSE Schriftzug bedruckt - wurden eingeführt. Die zunächst nur als "901 Continental" bezeichnete neue Form war als Sondermodell in Walnuss mit Bambus-Art Verkleidungen oder in der Weiß mit schwarzen Verkleidungen erhältlich.
