It is equipped with a Technics TH400 ribbon tweeter and two <i>Monacor SPP110/8</i> cone bass/midrange drivers. The cabinet is divided into two separate air chambers. The upper, closed chamber contains the closed tweeter and a <i>Monacor SPP110</i> used as midrange driver, the lower bass reflex chamber contains the Monacor used as woofer.

In the course of the evolution of the series they got for example a double footplate, mitred and rounded side panels and a large air coil for the bass driver. A small number of <i>lyon</i> was also sold as a kit.
