Additional information[edit]

CD drive and DA converter combination. Both devices can also be operated on third-party equipment, but form a single unit. The Cyrus dAD7 combines Disc- and Dacmaster in one unit (according to Hifi Exlusiv 09/1994)

Special equipment'

  • top loader
  • important accessories: Comms cable (see above)

Optional Equipment

  • additional external power supply PSX-R for drive Discmaster
    • separation of power supply between drive control and remaining digital section(?).
  • additional external power supply PSX-R for D/A converter Dacmaster
    • Separation of power supply between analog and digital section. The PSX-R takes over the digital power supply, the Dacmaster internal power supply then only the analog circuits.

  • Hifi Exclusiv 09/1994 page 64 -70: Test Disc- and Dacmaster with 2 PSX-R

Recommendation: use at least the Dacmaster with additional PSX-R. When used with additional PSX-R for Discmaster this combination (comparison with Wadia 3200 and Wadia X-32) is hard to beat (according to test report).
